Scorpion!

It’s been a month since I enlisted into BMTC, initially I felt that it is quite slack based on the activities and the number of push up I got when kena punished. But things become tougher when our new commando OC took over..

I did my first cat IPPT test during the first week and it is a disaster.. sit up 39, chin up 11, SBJ 234, shuttle 10.1s and the 2.4km run 12.50s… the 2.4 is crap! I can feel the mechanism in my body rusty already! started to pant like hell after the 1km run and walk a bit here and there. I made up my mind to train up for the 2.4 run to get at least a silver!  AND NOW!!!!!! the new timing is 10min+! not far away from the <9.44 IPPT GOLD. For now! the next target will be IPPT GOLD! I think the time where i will be the fittest will be now, the recruit period and after that i will start to become fat again! AND! the thing is i actually put on weight during my BMT!! The reason is because I train a lot and at the same time ate a lot as well! I become slightly bigger size, quite dark, and yes! SUPER BOTAK cause i just cut my hair again last week..

There is 13 people in my section including myself, however one of them OOT (out of training) because he fractured his ankle during the confinement week! and that mean he need to come back again for the next BMT batch.. this is like extreme swayness.. and its really sad la.. the reason is because we had this run at the stadium and during the last 30 second, the sergeant told us to overtake and sprint, just when he wanted to overtake, he stepped on the PVC pavement which separate the running tracks and the soccer field and fractured his ankle. The sound of the bone is kinda loud as people can hear it from far away… and for now, there is 12 people left in my section! Basically everyone is quite fit and everyone passed their 2.4km run this time round. There is a very fit people in my platoon and 1 in my section. The 1 in my section and do like 20+ chin ups, SBJ over the mat, sit up more than 50, shuttle run needless to say and 9min 10s+ for his 2.4km. At the start of the run he already ran damn far away from me. For now, we had 2 IPPT gold in my section. The other one is slightly fat but he also ran 9minutes+, like free wan like that. I ran like 10minutes+ and I am one of the last few already!! imagine how fast those assholes are? =.=

During the OTOT (own time own target) time, most of our section people will go down to the track and run! and thanks to their motivation and stuffs, that i will improved so much. a round of applauds for them! too bad i cant bring camera to tekong so no pictures! zZz..  The actual IPPT TEST is on the 23 of nov, tee gong ah.. come bless me with a IPPT GOLD pls.. :D

The coming week will be my field camp, the weather forecast predict that it will rain everyday. 2 words for it! Wet and Wild! If it rain everyday and the activities cannot continue, i cant imagine wth will my OC do, but he had better not extend the field camp if not.. _|_

Overall, the training is quite fun but i just cant wait for POP to come faster! The water is full of bacteria and the lecture room is full of people coughing. Even if a healthy person went in, come out also jia lat. The warrant officer over here is quite nice and cock la. They never fail to make crappy comment and crack jokes and sometimes dirty ones. There are over 20+ years in service already. When they in uniform we still liquid form. This is what one of them said. Funny yet true.

Booking in later, and tmr is field camp.. FML
and my “mum” said shes gonna send me a sweet and long msg to encourage me today for my field camp tmr. I hope i wont scold vulgarity after reading.. LOL
really thanks her for chatting with me when im bored in tekong. I think she wasted quite a lot of smses on me already! Thanks ah “mum”! and i got like 4 mums excluding the one that gave birth to me!

I think i will only get to book out on next Sunday and book in on the very same day. The thought of it is TOTAL SIANNESS! AND the thing is we die die had to book out! The happy thing is after field camp, there is only 3 weeks left to POP! CHEERS!!

This week achievement – Marksman + IPPT SILVER

Next target – IPPT GOLD! and hopefully OCS!

Something to share!

i came across something interesting while reading chloe’s blog…

*Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio

“To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I’ve ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.
8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don’t worry; God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.
19. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ‘In five years, will this matter?’
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do.
35. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative — dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood.
38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s,we’d grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
42. The best is yet to come.
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
44. Yield.
45. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.”

The 45 lessons above is indeed some of the better ways and guideline to handle life, however it will only be mere words if we only agree and do not practice.

Enjoying simple pleasure of life…..

There are times in life that we are suddenly feeling lost, without something to do or follow, without a aim in life. Life goes on, without waiting… Live Life To The Fullest! but how? The definition of “fullest” is interpreted uniquely by each of us. I have great friends around, carefree days.. at least for now! I feel that something is missing.. some kind of fun which I cant exactly know what is it. I guess it’s because nothing new and exciting is occurring in my present stage of life. It’s so.. COLOURLESS! I need something happening to colour my life! Yes! I know staying at home is not going to change anything and I do not have time to take up classes since I’m only left with 1month+ before I shaved my head and be a chao recruit!

I want to experience something new and happening! I want to enjoy my life more! HOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW?
Actually I enjoy simple activities as long as I’m with the right company. I have friends that called me out at 2am and we ended up playing frisbee in the park! I find it really enjoyable and fun, provided that everyone go easy with the throw.. =/ Its always good to have a bunch of happening friends that is always doing nonsensical thing. There is tons of simple thing that can made me smile just by thinking of them. With the company of different people, we always have a different level of “how much are we being ourselves”. I will always try to be myself whenever I’m with different people but of course, the frequency is important la!

Searching through my memories… I miss the time when….

4E5 are folding paper boat during chemistry lesson to see which boat sink first…
I filled up my pocket with water balloon and attack each other…
I take out the stopper from classroom’s table and throw it at the fan to hit some unlucky random people….
I took the whole of xiangyong’s chinese test paper and copy during a test…. LOL
I heard weicheng swallow his chinese test paper when he is about to be caught for cheating… LOL x 2
I threw ghee ting new pen into the dust bin….
I play basketball alone sometime after school…
I’m studying for “O” level
I’m walking back from Jalan Kayu back to Sengkang when I do not have license…
I’m having some slacking session with friends..
A pickled eye ball grew out of a sotong ball when the uncle is selling chicken rice made with rusty piano keys…
and NO! I do not miss the “Edwin suck Edwin” cheers… so shit you all…

too much to list… and much much much much more that needs to be remembered in the future…

freaking good old memories…

在我生命中,能让我觉得值得一切的人在那里?

MY LIFE!!!

As a human, we can hardly understand ourselves totally, we only keep knowing ourselves more. We have different point of view at different stage of our life on the same particular thing. The way we see, the method we use to handle, changes when we are affected in a certain way. Changes is the only thing that will never change.

As I grew up, I realized more about myself, what are the things I enjoy doing, what are the things I want and so on. I feel that there is always a chance that you will like something after you tried, so why not give myself a chance to understand myself more IF it’s not being harmful in any way. Doing something new would mean adding more experience in our journey of life. I only get to live my life once and there is no rewind! I want my life to be a journey filled with wonderful memories. One of my friend told me before that when we died, we can’t take any money or valuables with us. The only precious thing that we have and  solely belong to us, is memories. I don’t want to be reflecting on myself at old ages and realized that I actually wasted so much time doing nonsense instead of putting my time into doing things I enjoy.

I  enjoy talking to people. It would mean friends, family and so on. I feel that those little interaction is amazing, sometime through the process, we gained lots of knowledge and enlightenment.

I enjoy being with friends. Having a day out slacking at some random place chatting with friends. Be it a topic of life or good old days or even the most nonsensical stuff in the world, the company is the most enjoyable part.

I enjoy the feeling of being at nature. Everything seem to be so beautiful and natural be it at mountain, beach or sea. I want to have more outdoor experience and learn more survival skills.

I enjoy being happy! who don’t? LOL I always believe choices is the building block of life. What we choose is what we get, even if we fail, it won’t be too far from it if we put in the effort. Since being happy or sad does not change anything physically, so why not lift up our cheeks and exercise the muscle!! I believed that in order to stay happy, we should always follow our heart since our heart know what we wanted more than our brain does.

There is so many thing that I enjoy doing, some that i did not mention,  much more yet to be realized. I am really curious about how in depth people can realized about Life, something that takes ourselves to learn and realize at their own pace while no one can really teach.

A friend of mine asked me what would I do if I like a girl. This question put me into some deep thoughts. Personally I feel that the first thing to do is to be sure that I really like her for who she is, not just her look, but just her character the feeling she give me. If I cannot even be sure of such simple thing, how the hell can I like someone properly? At the same time, I believed in fate as well, I don’t think I can decide who I will like cause it’s a natural feeling that comes knocking at the door suddenly BUT I am sure that I will not fall for someone just because of her look. Few days ago at the chalet, another friend asked me what kind of girls do guys like. For me, I feel that the important qualities are nice, kind, thoughtful and always be herself! and of course it would be better if she is adventurous, happening, able to be lame, always cheerful, has a nice smile, know how to cook, friendly and can be totally crazy when it comes to having fun. Wow that is quite a lot.. LOL.. However right now I think I’m not really keen on a relationship, BUT if I really chance upon that someone so special to me, of course I won’t want to miss the chance!!! LIFE DOES NOT REWIND!!! Nobody wants to live with regrets right? LOL

Thank god that there is still nice peeps there waiting for us! Everyone seem nice and friendly Noisy peep like tiong yam need thiam wei to subdue him! There wasn’t any ice breaking activity when I reached. I guess everyone just cant wait to break our bone! Although it only lasted for a few hours for me and I kinda enjoyed every minute of it! Thiam Wei – a very funny person, probably the only one that can stop tiong yam’s nonsense!

Gary – he didn’t talk much but I really appreciate that he waited for us! :D

Sor kuan aka Su min – still as skinny as ever.. no taxi will stop if she wear red in the middle of the night!

Know Can Do!

Know Can Do

This is a book by Ken Blanchard, Paul J. Meyer and Dick Ruhe. I had finished reading this book and I hope to share this book with you guys.

We live in a society in which information can be reached easily and often we thought that the moment information we are exposed to, we will be always improving ourselves. The fact is we will tend to suffer from Information Overload. It is true that we may read up a lot but being exposed to too much of information will cause us to lose our focus. We will achieve better result if we use our time to focus on one area rather than splitting the focus on a few areas. Nowadays people actually know what they should be doing but instead they lack the determination to come out with a follow up plan to help them. There is absolutely no meaning just knowing what to know and yet not doing.

Instead of reading more and more books, we should read the same book more and more times to make sure that we really know, can and do what is inside the book. I find it kind of true as I could only vaguely remember the books that I read previously. Most of the times, people won’t change right after they read a book or attend a seminar, if no follow-up is done, we will slowly forget the concept of improving ourselves. The power of repetition is very important in this case.

Most of the times when we come up with the idea of something good, the amount of negative influence will induce a mental barrier on ourselves that cause us not to follow up on the idea. Instead of thinking on the negative impact first, we really should first try to always think about the positive side before anything. I believe most of you had been hearing this since young. Back in the past, no one believed that something as big as the airplane we had today could fly in the air. If the Wright Brothers had the same common mind set, we probably just have ship as the main transport to overseas.

Nothing good happens accidentally!

knowing is not enough, do the difference today!

something to share!

Suddenly got reminded of a book that i read during my internship period. The book is titled “The Five Secrets Your Must Discover Before You Die” It is a book that is written by Dr. John Izzo. The author and his colleagues interviewed 200+ people that were identified to be “wise” and found happiness and meaning in their life. I agree on what the author wrote most of the times and i decided to share this book with the very very few people who know of the existence of this blog. Be honored ok!

The first secret: be true to your self
The second secret: leave no regrets
The third secret: become love
The fourth secret: live the moment
The fifth secret: give more than you take

I shall comment on each on them at a later time cause I am tired now! LOL
